what others think.. .
[Mike] clearly articulates project vision, capturing imaginations and engaging coworkers to pull together toward a common goal, and then ensures that the objective stays clearly in view and milestones are hit.

web design projects
PBGHPA.org
A complete redesign was needed after years of ad hoc additions and false starts. With PBGH emerging as a leader in the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions, we needed a new site that would allow for us to expand our brand identity and to better approach an audience outside of our rather siloed market. WorldSource at PCNA The WorldSource team had long struggled with a page that had way too much copy and very little context on what they can actually do. We developed this page to show through simple interactions WorldSource's customization capabilities. Trimark Apparel, US This was a long-neglected brand page that had been left feeling like a cold and uninviting eCommerce page. Fresh imagery, seasonal simple interactions, and better flow make this iteration much more inviting. AHN Women's Health AHN Cancer Institute While these pages continue to evolve, I was proud to oversee the complete redesign of not only the UXD, but also all of the content and a re-imagining of the information architecture. These were two areas of focus that served as touch points with the community. We needed to take a step back away from clinical doctor-talk to focus on plain language and inviting tone. |

I believe that workflow should speak with the vocabulary of the company, not the other way around. Here are examples of project workflows I've used to establish design processes within a company, utilizing their language and structure.

someone else's thoughts.. .
[Mike's] a gifted listener and problem solver - making sure that he understands what the pain points and goals are before he works on a solution, but also helping to detangle politics from complicated requests.
